Surah Ha Mim Sajdah is the 42nd Surah of the Holy Quran. Surah Ha Mim Sajdah is also known as Surah Fussilat. It’s a very important chapter of the Quran. Surah Fussilat means in English “EXPEXPLAINED IN DETAIL.” Surah e Fussilat also tells about this divine lesson. This Surah is very much blessed. There are many benefits of reciting Surah Fussilat. Surah Al Fussilat English Translation

1. Ḥâ-Mĩm.
2. (This Book) has been sent down from God, the Merciful.
3. A book whose verses are clear (i.e.) the Arabic Qur’an for those who have understanding.
4. He who gives glad tidings and instills fear, but most of them turn away and do not listen.
5. And they say: Our hearts are veiled from what you are calling us to, and our ears are burdened (i.e. deafness), and there is a veil between us and you, so you do (your) work, we do (our) work.
6. Say I am a man like you.  (Yes) This revelation comes to me that your god is God alone, so be straight towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him, and woe to the polytheists.
7. Those who do not give Zakat and are not convinced of the Hereafter.
8. For those who believe and do good deeds, there is a reward that will never end.
9. Say, do you deny Him who created the earth in two days?  And you make (idols) rivals to him.  He is the Lord of the whole world.
10. And He created the mountains above it in the earth and blessed the earth and established in it all the goods and economy (all) in four days.  (and all) the same for the seekers.
11. Then he turned to the sky and it was smoke, so he said to it and to the earth: Come both (whether) with joy or with unhappiness.  He said: We come with pleasure.
12. Then in two days We created seven heavens and sent orders to each heaven for its (work), and We adorned the heavens and the world with lamps (i.e. stars) and protected them (from the devils).  These are (fixed) estimates of great (and) warning.
13. Then if they turn their backs, say: I warn you of such a scourge as was inflicted on Aad and Thamud.
14. Those who were used to it began to take pride in the unjust country and said, “Who is stronger than us?”  Have they not seen that God who created them is far superior in power to them?  And they continued to deny Our verses.
15. So We also gave them a wind of force in the days of adversity to make them taste the punishment of humiliation in the life of this world.  And the punishment of the Hereafter is very humiliating, and they will not be helped (on that Day).
16. So We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped.
17. And We showed those who were Thamud the straight path, but they preferred to be blind to the guidance, so the punishment of their deeds was seized by the fire.  And that was the punishment of humiliation.
18. And We saved those who believed and were pious.
19. And on the day when the enemies of God will be driven to hell, they will be done in order.
20. Even when they reach Him, their ears and eyes and skin (i.e. other organs) will testify against them of their deeds.
21. And they will say to their skins (i.e. organs) why did you bear witness against us?  They will say that God, who gave speech to all things, gave us speech, and it was He who created you the first time, and to Him you must return.
22. And you used not to conceal (the fear of) that your ears and your eyes and your skin would testify against you, but you used to think that God was not aware of many of your deeds.
23. And this thought which you used to have about your Lord destroyed you and you were among the losers.
24. Now if they are patient, their abode will be hell.  And if they repent, their repentance will not be accepted.
25. And We appointed them (Satans) as their companions, so they made their previous and previous deeds excellent for them, and the groups of jinn and men who passed before them were also punished by God.  The promise was fulfilled.  Verily, these are the losers.
26. And the disbelievers said, “Do not listen to this Qur’an and (when you start reciting it) make noise so that you may prevail.”
27. So We will also make the unbelievers taste the taste of a severe punishment and punish them for their bad deeds that they used to do.
28. This is the retribution of God’s enemies (i.e.) hell.  For them there is an eternal home.  This is the punishment for those who used to deny Our verses.
29. And the disbelievers will say, “O our Lord, show us those among the jinn and men who misled us, that we may trample them under our feet, so that they may be greatly humiliated.”
30. Those who said, “Our Lord is God,” then remained firm (on it), the angels will descend upon them (and say), “Fear not, nor be sad, and rejoice in the Paradise that was promised to you.”
31. We were your friends in the life of this world and also in the Hereafter.  And there whatever (blessing) you desire you will (get) and whatever you ask for (will be available) for you.
32. (This) is hospitality from the Forgiving, the Merciful.
33. And who can speak better to that person who calls to God and does righteous deeds and says, “I am a Muslim.”
34. And good and evil cannot be equal.  So respond (to harsh words) in a way that is very good (by doing this you will see) that he who was enmity between you and him is as if he is your warm friend.
35. And this is achieved by those who are patient.  And only those who have great fortune are blessed.
36. And if you get a whisper from Satan, seek refuge in God.  Verily, He hears and knows.
37. And the night and the day and the sun and the moon are among His signs.  You people do not worship the sun or the moon.  Rather, bow down to God, who created these things, if it is acceptable to you to worship Him.
38. If these people are disobedient, (even God does not care about them), those (angels) who are with your Lord, they glorify Him day and night and (never) get tired.
39. And (O servant) it is a sample of His power that you see the earth pressed down (i.e. dry).  When we rain water on it, it becomes green and starts to bloom, so the one who gave life to the earth is the one who gives life to the dead.  Verily He is Able to do all things.
40. Those who go astray in Our verses are not hidden from Us.  The one who is thrown into hell is better or the one who comes in peace on the Day of Judgment.  (So ​​good) do whatever you want.  He is watching what you do.
41. Those who did not heed the advice when it came to them.  And this is a great book.
42. A lie cannot interfere with it either from the front or from behind.  (And) the Wise (and) Virtuous (God) has been sent down.
43. The same things are said to you that were said to the Prophets before you. Verily, your Lord is Forgiving and Grievous. 
44. And if We had sent down this Qur’an in a non-Arabic language, these people would have said why its verses were not explained openly (in our language).  Is the Qur’an foreign and Arabic?  Say: For those who believe (this) is guidance and healing.  And those who do not believe have deafness in their ears, and this is blindness in their favor.  Because of the chanting, they are called (as if) from a distant place.
45. And when We gave Moses the Book, it was disputed.  And if a thing had not been settled before by your Lord, it would have been decided between them.  And they are confused by it (Qur’an) in doubt.
46. He who does good deeds for himself.  And the one who does bad deeds will be harmed by them.  And your Lord is not unjust to His servants. 
47. The knowledge of the Day of Resurrection is referred to Him (i.e., the knowledge of the Day of Resurrection belongs to Him) and neither the fruits come from the cows, nor does any woman become pregnant, nor does she enter Paradise except by His knowledge.  And on the day when he will call them (and say) where are my partners, they will say: We ask you that none of us knows (about them).
48. And those whom they used to call (besides God) will disappear from them and they will believe that there is no salvation for them.
49. When a person prays for goodness, he does not get tired, and if he suffers, he becomes hopeless and gives up.
50. And if we give him a taste of our mercy after suffering, he says that it was my right and I do not think that the Day of Judgment will come.  And if (the resurrection is true and) I am returned to my Lord, then there is prosperity for me with Him.  So We will certainly punish them for what the disbelievers used to do, and We will make them taste a severe chastisement.
51. And when we show kindness to man, he turns away and walks away.  And when he is in pain, he starts making long prayers.
52. Say: Look, if this (Qur’an) is from God, then you deny it, then who is more misguided than he who opposes the highest level (of the truth)?
53. Soon We will show them Our signs both in the world and in themselves, until it becomes clear to them that (the Qur’an) is the truth.  Is it not enough for you that your Lord is aware of everything?
54. Look, they are in doubt about appearing before their Lord.  Hear that He covers everything.
