Full Surah An Najm Read Online

Surah An Najm is the 53rd Surah of the Holy Quran. This surah is very blessed and all of us Muslims should recite this surah daily and also encourage our family members to recite this surah. Surah Namj was revealed in Mecca.

Surah Al Najm English Translation

1. When the star starts disappearing
2.  That your friend (Muhammad ﷺ) has neither forgotten the path nor gone astray.
3. And they do not speak out of their mouths out of desire.
4. This (Qur’an) is the commandment of God which is sent (to them).
5. They were taught by the Mighty One.
6. (i.e. Gabriel) the Mighty then saw them whole.
7. And they were in the upper part (of the sky).
8. Then they came closer and moved forward.
9. So at a distance of two bows or less
10. Then God sent what He sent to His servant.
11. What they saw, their hearts did not believe it to be a lie.
12. Do you dispute with them about what they see?
13. And they have seen it once.
14. By the berry of the pearly border
15. With Him is Paradise to dwell in.
16. While it was covering the berry that was covering
17. Their eyes did not turn aside, nor did they go forward.
18. How many great signs did they see from their Lord? 
19. Have you seen Laat and Uzzah?
20. And the third manat (that these idols may be gods)
21. (O polytheists!) Are sons for you and daughters for God?
22. This division is very unjust.
23. They are just names that you and your forefathers have made up.  God did not reveal any evidence for them. These people are just following their thoughts and desires. Although guidance has come to them from their Lord.
24. What a person wishes for, does he get it? 
25. The hereafter and the world are in the hands of Allah alone.
26. And there are many angels in the heavens whose intercession avails nothing, except when God permits and likes (recommendation) for whomsoever He wills.
27. Those who do not believe in the Hereafter call the angels (God’s) daughters.
28. Although they do not know anything about it.  They just go by guess.  And suspicion is of no use compared to belief.
29. So turn away from the one who wants to turn away from Our remembrance and the life of this world only.
30. This is the end of their knowledge.  Your Lord is well-acquainted with him who strays from His path, and He is also well-acquainted with him who follows the path.
31. And all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth belongs to God (and He has created the creation) so that He may requite those who have done evil for their deeds.  Those who have done good, reward them with good. 
32. Those who avoid major sins and immorality except minor sins.  Indeed, your Lord is Oft-Forgiving.  He knows you well.  When He created you from dust and when you were born in your mothers’ wombs.  So don’t call yourself pure.  He who is pious is well aware of it.
33. Did you see the person who turned his face away?
34. And he gave a little (then) stopped his hand.
35. Does he have knowledge of the unseen that he is seeing him?
36. Has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Moses?
37. And of Ibrahim (a.s.) who fulfilled (the right of obedience and messengership)
38. That no one shall bear the burden of another’s (sin).
39. And that man gets what he strives for
40. And that his effort will be seen.
41. Then it will be replaced in its entirety.
42. And that it is to reach your Lord only
43. And that He laughs and weeps
44. And that He kills and burns.
45. And that He creates two kinds (of animals), male and female. 
46. (i.e.) from the sperm that is put (into the womb)
47. And that (the Resurrection) must be raised again on it.
48. And that it is He who makes rich and makes poor. 
49. And that he is the master of poetry.
50. And that he killed Aad I
51. And to Thamud too. So that no one was left behind
52. And the people of Noah before them.  There is no doubt that those people were very cruel and very rebellious.
53. And it was he who beat up the overturned settlements.
54. Then overshadowed them what was overshadowed
55. So (O man) over which favor of your Lord will you dispute?
56. He (Muhammad ﷺ) is also one of the next fear-mongers.
57. The coming (i.e. Judgment Day) has approached. 
58. No one can remove it (the sufferings of the day) except God.
59. O disbelievers of God) are you surprised by this word? 
60. And laugh and not cry? 
61. And you are falling into neglect
62. So prostrate before God and worship (Him).
