Full Surah Al Qamar Read Online

Surah Al Qamar is the 54th Surah of the Holy Quran. This Surah was revealed in Mecca. The name of this Surah is derived from the word Qamar for the moon, which is mentioned in the first verse. It describes a miraculous event in the life of the Prophet. Surat Al-Qamar also describes the Day of Resurrection where the disbelievers will have to give an account, which is real life and where justice will be done.

Surat e Qamar English Translation

1. The Day of Judgment is near and the moon has set.
2. And if they (disbelievers) see a sign, they turn away and say that it is an everlasting magic.
3. And they disbelieved and followed their desires, and for every work there is a appointed time.
4. And such situations have reached them (pasts) in which there is an example.
5. And perfect wisdom (also the Book of), but intimidation avails them nothing.
6. So don’t worry about them.  On the Day when the Caller will call them to an unhappy thing.
7. Then the eyes will come out of the low graves like scattered locusts.
8. They will run towards this caller.  The disbelievers will say that this day is very severe.
9. Before him, the people of Noah (a.s.) also denied, so they denied our servant and said that he is mad and scolded them too.
10. So they prayed to their Lord that if I am weak (compared to them), take revenge (on them).
11. So We opened the gates of the heavens with a mighty force.
12. And when springs were released in the earth, the water gathered for a purpose that had been ordained. 
13. And We took Noah (a.s.) on an ark made of planks and nails.
14. She used to walk in front of our eyes.  (All this) was (done) for the revenge of that person whom the disbelievers did not believe. 
15. And we left it as an example, so is there anyone who thinks about it? 
16. So (see) how was my punishment and intimidation? 
17. And we have made the Qur’an easy to understand, so is there anyone who thinks about it? 
18. Aad also denied it, so (see) how my punishment and threats turned out.
19. We sent a storm upon them on a day of severe calamity.
20. She used to throw people as if they were uprooted palm trunks.
21. So (see how) my torment and intimidation turned out
22. And we have made the Qur’an easy to understand, so is there anyone who thinks about it?  
23. Thamud also denied the guides.
24. And he said, “Shall we follow a man who is one of us?”  If so, we have fallen into error and madness.
25. Has the revelation been revealed to him among all of us? (No) Rather, it is false self-love.
26. Tomorrow they will know who is a liar and self-righteous. 
27. (O Salih) We are about to send camels to test them, so watch them and be patient. 
28. And inform them that their turn of water has been fixed.  Each (one who has a turn) must come to his turn. 
29. So those people called their friend and he (caught the camel and cut its hooves).
30. So (see how) my torment and intimidation turned out
31. We sent upon them a cry (of punishment), so they became like the dry and broken fence of a fencer.
32. And we have made the Qur’an easy to understand, so is there anyone who thinks about it?  
33. The people of Lut also denied the fearmongers.
34. So We blew at them a wind full of pebbles, but the family of Lot, We saved them from the previous night.
35. By your grace. We reward the grateful.
36. And Lut (a.s.) also threatened them with our capture, but they doubted the thread.
37. And if they wanted to take away their guests, We blotted out their eyes, so (now) taste the pleasure of My punishment and fear.
38. And an irrevocable chastisement descended on them early in the morning.
39. So now taste the pleasures of my punishment and terror.
40. And we have made the Qur’an easy to understand, so is there anyone who thinks about it?
41. And the people of Pharaoh also came to warn people.
42. They denied all Our signs, so We seized them as a strong and mighty man seizes.
43. (O People of Arabia) Are your disbelievers better than these people, or has a blank letter been written for you in the (first) books?
44. Do these people say that our party is very strong? 
45. Soon this group will be defeated and these people will turn their backs and run away.
46. The time of their promise is the Day of Judgment, and the Day of Judgment is severe and very bitter.
47. Verily, the sinners are in error and insanity. 
48. On that Day, they will be dragged face down into Hell, now taste the Fire.
49. We have created everything with a predestined estimate.
50. And Our command is like the twinkling of an eye.
51. And we have killed your co-religionists, so is there anyone who thinks about it?
52. And what they did, is (listed) in the names of (their) deeds.
53. (That is) every small and big work has been written down.
54. Those who are pious will be in gardens and streams. 
55. (i.e.) in the holy place in the court of the king who has all kinds of power.
