Surah Al Fatir is the 35th Surah of the Holy Quran. Surah Fatir is a very important chapter of Quran. Surah e Fatir literally means “THE ORIGINATOR”. Surah al Fatir also tells about this divine lesson. This Surah is very much blessed. There are many benefits of reciting Surah Fatir.  This Surah was revealed in the Holy city of Mecca. This Surah is a source of guidance for Muslims. All over the world, Muslims recite Surah Fatir with great faith and love. By reciting Surah e Fatir, Muslims become closer to Allah. This surah begins by praising God’s creation. In this sura, it is stated that the creator of the entire universe is Allah, and Allah has no god.

Surah e Fatir English Translation

1. All praise is due to God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth (and) the Messenger of the angels, two two and three three and four four.  He increases what He wills in (His) creatures.  Verily, God is Able to do all things.
2.  If God opens the door of His mercy, no one can close it.  And whoever closes it, no one will open it after that.  And He is All-Wise.
3. People, remember God’s favors on you.  Is there any Creator (and Sustainer) other than God who gives you sustenance from the heavens and the earth?  There is no god but Him, so where are you wandering?
4. And (O Prophet) if these people deny you, then prophets have been denied before you.  And (all) deeds will be returned to God alone.
5. Folks, God’s promise is true.  So do not let the life of this world deceive you, nor let the deceiver (Satan) deceive you.
6. Satan is your enemy, you also consider him as your enemy.  He calls his group (of followers) so that they may be among the people of Hell.
7. For those who disbelieve, there is a severe punishment.  And for those who believe and do righteous deeds, there is forgiveness and a great reward.
8. Good for the person whose actions are shown in a bad manner and they start to think of them as good (can he be like a virtuous person).  Indeed, God leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills.  So don’t lose your breath by feeling sorry for these people.  God is Aware of what they do.
9. And it is God who drives the winds and they raise the clouds, then We drive them towards a lifeless city.  Then they revive the earth with it after its death.  In the same way, the dead will be resurrected.
10. Whoever seeks honor, then all honor belongs to God.  Pure words rise to him and good deeds elevate him.  And for those who commit evil deeds, there is a severe punishment.  And their malice will be destroyed.
11. And God created you from dust, then from sperm, then made you in pairs.  And a woman neither conceives nor enters heaven except with his knowledge.  And no one who is old is given more age, nor is his age shortened, but (everything) is (written) in the Book.  Indeed, this is easy for God.
12. And the two rivers (together) do not become equal.  It is a sweet thirst quencher.  Whose water is sweet and salty is bitter.  And of all you eat fresh meat and take out ornaments that you wear.  And you see the boats in the river tearing (the water) so that you may seek (earnings) from His grace and that you may give thanks.
13. It is He who causes the night to enter the day and (He) causes the day to enter into the night, and He has made the sun and the moon work.  Each one is running for a set amount of time.  This God is your Lord and His is the kingdom.  And those whom you call upon besides Him do not possess (anything) equal to the peel of a date-palm kernel.
14. If you call them, they will not hear your call and even if they hear, they will not be able to accept your words.  And on the Day of Resurrection, they will reject your shirk.  And (God) will not give you any news like the All-Knowing.
15. People, you (all) are in need of God, and God is worthy (of praise and worship).
16. If He wills, He can annihilate you and make new creatures uninhabitable.
17. And this is not difficult for God.
18. And no bearer shall bear another’s burden.  And if someone burdened with a burden calls someone to share his burden, no one will take anything from him, even if he is a relative.  (O Prophet) You can advise only those people who fear their Lord without being seen and offer prayers with commitment.  And whoever is pure is pure for himself.  And (all) have to return to God alone.
19. And the blind and the sighted are not equal.
20. And neither darkness nor light
21. And neither shade nor sunshine.
22. And neither the living nor the dead can be equal.  God hears whomever He wills.  And you cannot hear those who are buried in the graves.
23. You are only a scaremonger.
24. We have sent you a bearer of glad tidings and a warner with the truth.  And there is no nation but a guide has passed into it.
25. And if they deny you, those who were before them have also denied. Their messengers came to them with signs and scriptures and bright books.
26. Then I seized the disbelievers, so (see) how was my punishment. 
27. Have you not seen that God sent down rain from the sky?  So We produced from it fruits of various colors.  And in the mountains there are regions of white and red colors and (some) black ones.
28. Humans and animals and pets also have different colors.  Those who fear God among His servants are those who have knowledge.  Indeed, God is Mighty (and) Forgiving.
29. Those who recite the Book of God and observe prayer and spend out of what We have given them, hidden and visible, are the candidates for a trade (benefit) that will never be destroyed.
30. Because God will reward them in full and give them something more out of His grace.  He is Forgiving (and) Gracious.
31. And this Book which We have sent down to you is the truth.  And it confirms those (books) which are before it.  Verily, God is watchful of His servants.
32. Then We appointed as inheritors of the Book those whom We chose from among Our servants.  So some of them wrong themselves.  And some are mean.  And some are going to excel in good deeds by God’s order.  This is a great grace.
33. (For these people) (are) the Eternal Paradise into which they will enter.  There they will wear gold bracelets and pearls.  And their clothing will be silk.
34. They will say that thanks be to God who removed the sorrow from us.  Indeed, our Lord is Oft-Forgiving (and) Gracious.
35. Who brought us down by His grace to the abode of eternal abode.  Here neither will we suffer nor will we have any trouble.
36. And for those who disbelieved is the Fire of Hell.  Neither will they die nor will their punishment be lightened.  We requite every ungrateful one in like manner.
37. They will shout in it, O Lord, take us out (now), what good deeds will we do.  Not what they used to do.  Didn’t We give you such an age that you could think what you wanted to think in it, and there came to you an intimidator?  So enjoy now.  There is no helper for the wrongdoers.
38. Indeed, God is the Knower of the hidden things of the heavens and the earth.  He knows even the secrets of the heart.
39. It is He Who made you successors (of the first) in the earth.  So whoever disbelieves, the harm of his disbelief is on him.  And in the case of the unbelievers, their disbelief only increases the displeasure of the Lord, and their disbelief only increases the harm to the disbelievers.
40. Have you seen your partners whom you call upon besides God?  Show me what they have created from the earth or (tell me) what they have in the heavens.  Or We have given them the Book, so they bear witness to it (none of them) but the wrongdoers who make promises to each other are only delusions.
41. It is God who holds the heavens and the earth so that they do not move.  If they turn away, there is no one but God who can hold them back.  Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving (and) Forgiving.
42. And they swear by God that if a guide comes to them, they will be guided more than any other nation.  But when a guide came to them, their hatred for him increased.
43. That is, (they) (allowed) to be proud in the country and to play evil tricks, and the evil of evil tricks falls on the one who follows it.  It does not wait for anything except the attitude of the next people.  So you will never be able to change the habit of God.  And you will never see a change in God’s ways.
44. Did they never travel the land to see what happened to those who were before them even though they were much more powerful than them.  And God is not such that anything in the heavens and the earth can humble Him.  He is the All-Knowing (and) All-Powerful.
45. And if God were to catch people because of their deeds.  So he would not leave a single walker on the face of the earth.  But they are given respite for a fixed time.  So when their time comes, (will reward them for their deeds) God is watching His servants.
