Surah e Baqrah English Translation

  1. Alif-Lãm-Mĩm.
  2. There is no doubt that this book (the Qur’an) is a guide for those who fear God.
  3. Those who believe in the Unseen and pray with proper manners and spend out of what We have bestowed upon them.
  4. And they believe in the Book that was revealed to you (O Muhammad) and the books that were revealed before you (to the Prophets) and believe in the Hereafter.
  5. These are the people who are guided by their Lord (from) and these are the ones who will be saved.
  6. Whether you advise those who disbelieve or not is the same for them.  They will not believe.
  7. God has sealed their hearts and ears and veiled their eyes, and for them is a great chastisement.
  8. And there are some people who say that we believe in God and the Last Day, although they do not believe.
  9. (In their imagination) they evade God and the believers, but (in reality) they do not evade anyone but themselves, and they are unaware of it.
  10. There was a disease (of disbelief) in their hearts.  God made their disease worse and because of their lying they will have a painful punishment.
  11. And when it is said to them, “Do not cause mischief in the land,” they say, “We are reformers.”
  12. Behold, they are certainly corrupt, but they do not know.
  13. And when it is said to them that you should also believe in the same way as other people have believed, they say, should we also believe in the same way as the fools have believed?  Listen, these are the fools, but they do not know.
  14. And when these people meet the believers, they say, ‘We have believed’, and when they go to their devils, they say (to them), ‘We are with you.’
  15. God laughs at them (the hypocrites) and they are respite for mischief and mischief
  16. These are the people who abandoned guidance and bought misguidance, so neither did their trade bring any profit nor were they guided
  17. Their example is like that of a person who lit a fire (in the dark night).  When the fire illuminated the things around him, God extinguished their light and left them in darkness so that they could not see anything
  18. (They are) deaf, dumb, blind that they cannot return (somehow to the straight path)
  19. Or their likeness is like that of rain that is (raining) from the sky and there is darkness upon darkness and (clouds) thunder and lightning (flashing), then it is (fearing) lightning.  ) Put your fingers in your ears for fear of death, and Allah surrounds the disbelievers (on all sides)
  20. (Lightning) is about to blind their eyes.  When the lightning (shines and shines) upon them, they walk in it, and when it becomes dark, they remain standing, and if Allah wills, both their ears (hearing) and eyes (sight).  Disappears.  Verily, Allah is Able to do all things.
  21. People!  Worship your Lord, Who created you and those before you, that you may be saved (from His punishment)
  22. He who spread the earth for you and made the sky a roof and sent down rain from the sky and brought forth all kinds of fruits for you to eat.  So do not associate anyone with God.  And you know.
  23. And if you have any doubt in this (Book) which We have sent down to Our servant (Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him), then produce a similar surah and call upon those who are your helpers besides God, if you  Be truthful
  24. But if you cannot do (this) and you will never be able to do it, then fear the Fire whose fuel will be men and stones (and which) has been prepared for the disbelievers.(24)
  25. And to those who believe and do righteous deeds, give them the glad tidings that for them are gardens (of grace) beneath which rivers flow.  When they are given any of these fruits to eat, they will say, This is what was given to us before.  And they will be given fruits similar to each other, and there will be pure wives for them, and they will live forever in Paradise.
  26. Allah does not hesitate to narrate the example of a mosquito or something greater than that (eg, a bee, a spider, etc.).  Those who believe, they believe that it is the truth from their Lord and those who disbelieve say that what God means by this example.  By it (God) leads many astray and guides many, and even if He leads astray, only the disobedient ones.
  27. Those who break the affirmation of God after strengthening it, and cut off what God has commanded to be kept in pairs, and cause corruption in the land, these are the people who will suffer the loss.
  28. (Disbelievers!) Why can you disbelieve in God when you were lifeless, then He gave you life, then He kills you, then He will bring you back to life, then to Him you will return.)
  29. It is He Who created for you all things that are on earth, then He turned to the heavens and made them seven heavens, and He is aware of everything.
  30. And (it is worth remembering) when your Lord said to the angels: I am about to make (my) vicegerent on earth.  They said.  Do You want to appoint in it a person who commits wrongdoing and bloodshed and we continue to glorify and sanctify You with Your praise.  (God) said: I know things which you do not know.
  31. And He taught Adam the names of all (things) and then revealed them to the angels and said, “If you are truthful, tell me their names.”
  32. He said, then it is pure.  We do not know anything other than what you have given us.  Verily, He is wise (and) wise.
  33. (Then) God commanded (Adam) that Adam!  You tell them the names of these (things).  When he told them their names, he said (to the angels): Why did I not tell you that I know (all) the hidden things of the heavens and the earth, and what you reveal and what you conceal?  I know
  34. And when We commanded the angels to prostrate before Adam, they prostrated themselves, but Shaytan refused and became arrogant and disbelieved.
  35. And We said: O Adam, you and your wife live in paradise and eat (drink) freely from wherever you want, but do not go near this tree, otherwise you will (enter) the wrongdoers.
  36. Then Shaitan slipped them both from there and drove them out of the (luxury) they were in.  Then We ordered you to leave (Paradise).  You are enemies to each other, and for you in the earth is (appointed) a place of residence and sustenance for a time.
  37. Then Adam learned some words from his Lord (and asked for forgiveness), so He forgave them. Indeed, He is Oft-Forgiving (and) Most Merciful.
  38. We said: Get down from here, all of you, when the guidance from Me reaches you, (to follow it) those who follow My guidance will not fear anything, nor will they grieve.
  39. And those who did not accept (it) and denied Our revelations, they are going to hell (and) they will stay in it forever.
  40. O children of Jacob!  Remember the favors I have bestowed on you and fulfill the vows you made to me.  I will fulfill the promise I made to you and fear Me.
  41. And believe in the Book which I have sent down (to My Messenger Muhammad) which declares your Book Torah to be the truth, and do not be the first to deny it, and in My verses (by distorting) a small price in exchange for them.  Do not obtain (i.e. worldly pleasures), and fear Me.
  42. And do not mix the truth with falsehood, and do not deliberately hide the truth.
  43. And offer prayer and give alms and bow down (to God) with those who bow down.
  44. (Is it) (a matter of wisdom) that you ask people to do good and make them forget about you, although you also read the Book (of God).  Don’t you understand?
  45. And take help (in suffering) from patience and prayer. Indeed, prayer is precious, but (not precious) to those who are helpless.
  46. And those who believe that they will meet their Lord and return to Him.
  47. O children of Jacob!  Remember My favors that I bestowed upon you and that I favored you over the people of the world.
  48. And fear the Day when no one will be of any use, and no one’s intercession will be accepted, and no reward will be accepted from anyone, and people will not be able to get help (in any other way).
  49. And (remember Our favors) when We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, they (people) used to give you great grief, killing your sons and allowing your daughters to live, and in that, your Lord  There was a great (severe) test from.
  50. And when We parted the river for you, delivered you, and drowned the people of Pharaoh, and you were watching.
  51. And when We promised Moses forty nights, you appointed the calf after them, and you were doing wrong.
  52. Then after that We forgave you, so that you may be thankful.
  53. And when We gave Moses the Book and miracles, that you may be guided.
  54. And when Moses said to the people of his people, “Brothers, you have done a (great) injustice in making the calf (a god), then repent before your Creator and destroy it for yourselves.”  This is what is best for you in the eyes of your Creator.  Then he forgave your fault.  Indeed, He is Forgiving (and) Merciful.
  55. And when you (Moses) said, “Moses, we will not believe in you until we see God face to face,” then lightning surrounded you while you were looking.
  56. Then after death, We revived you again, so that you may receive mercy.
  57. And kept the cloud over you and sent down manna and silva (for you) that you should eat (drink) the pure things that We have given you, but your elders did not know any value of these blessings (and).  They did not harm us, but harmed themselves.
  58. And when We said (to them) Enter this village and eat (drink) well wherever you like in it and (see) entering the gate, prostrating and saying Hatta, We will forgive your sins.  And He will give more to those who do good.
  59. So those who were unjust, they changed the word which was commanded them and started saying another word in its place, so We sent down punishment from heaven on (those) unjust people, because they used to disobey.)
  60. And when Moses asked (God) for water for his people, We said: Strike your staff on a rock.  (They hit the stick) Then twelve springs gushed forth from it, and all the people found their own ghats and took (drinks from).  (We commanded that) eat and drink the sustenance (provided) by God, but do not go about mischief in the land.
  61. And when you said that Musa!  We cannot have patience to eat one (only) food, so pray to your Lord to produce for us salad and cucumber and wheat and lentils and onions (etc.) that grow from the earth.  He said that why should I leave good things and want bad things instead.  (If these things are desired) then go to a city, there you will find what you ask for.  And (eventually) humiliation (warsawai) and neediness (wabay nawaai) were attached to them and they were caught in the wrath of Allah.  This is because they used to deny Allah’s revelations and kill (His) prophets unjustly.  (That is) because they used to disobey and exceed the limit.
  62. Those who are Muslims or Jews or Christians or star worshipers, (i.e. a person belonging to any nation or religion) who will believe in God and the Last Day, and will do good deeds, then such people will be rewarded for their (deeds).  They will meet with God, and (on the Day of Resurrection) they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.
  63. And when We made a covenant with you and raised up Mount Tur over you (and ordered) that you should hold fast to the Book which We have given you, and what is (written) in it.  Remember it, so that you may be safe (from punishment).
  64. So you went back (from the covenant) after that, and if it had not been for God’s grace and mercy upon you, you would have been at a loss.
  65. And you know very well those among you who transgressed (fishing) on the Sabbath day, so We said to them, ‘Become disgraced and disgraced monkeys’.
  66. And made this story a lesson for the people of that time and those who were to come after them, and an admonition for the pious.
  67. And when Moses said to the people of his people: God commands you to slaughter an ox.  They said, are you laughing at us?  (Moses) said: I seek refuge in Allah from being ignorant.
  68. He said: Ask your Lord to tell us what kind of ox that is.  (Moses) said that the Lord says that the bull should be neither old nor young, but between them (i.e. young).  Do as you have been commanded.
  69. He said, “Request the Lord to tell us what color it should be.”  Musa said, “The Lord says that its color should be deep yellow, so that it pleases the hearts of those who see it.”
  70. He said, “Ask the (now) Lord again to tell us what kind he is, because many oxen seem to us similar to each other.  It will be known.
  71. Moses said that God said that the ox should not be engaged in work, neither plowing the ground nor watering the field.  It should not have any stain.  They said, now you have told everything correctly.  Therefore (with great difficulty) they slaughtered that bull, and they were not about to do so.
  72. And when you kill a person, you start quarreling among them.  But what you were concealing, God was about to reveal it.
  73. So we said to kill the victim with a piece of this bull.  Thus God revives the dead and shows you His signs so that you may understand.
  74. Then your hearts hardened.  As if they were stones or even harder than them.  And some stones are such that springs come out of them, and some are such that they burst, and water begins to flow out of them, and some are such that they fall due to the fear of God, and  God is not unaware of your deeds.
  75. (Believers) Do you expect that these people will be convinced of your (religion), (even though) some of them listen to the word of God (i.e. the Torah), then after understanding it, deliberately  They keep changing.
  76. And when these people meet the believers, they say, We have come to believe.  And when they meet each other, they say: What God has revealed to you, you tell them so that (on the Day of Resurrection) they will accuse you before your Lord.  .  Don’t you understand?
  77. Don’t these people know that whatever they hide and whatever they reveal, God knows (all)
  78. And some among them are uneducated, who are not aware of the Book (of God) except their false ideas, and they act only on suspicion.
  79. So woe to those who write the book with their own hands and say that it is from God, in order to get a small price (i.e. worldly benefit) for it.  Woe to them, because they write (unoriginal things) with their own hands, and (then) woe to them, because they do such things.
  80. And they say that the fire (of hell) will not touch us except for a few days.  Ask them, have you confessed to God that God will not go against His confession.  (No), rather you say things about God of which you have no absolute knowledge.
  81. Yes, whoever does bad deeds, and his sins surround him (from all sides), then such people are going to (go to) Hell (and) they will always (burn) therein.
  82. And those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will be the owners of Paradise (and) will always (enjoy) it.
  83. And when We made a covenant with the children of Israel to worship none but God, and to do good to parents and relatives, and orphans, and the needy, and to speak good words to people, and to pray and to give alms, then a few  All of you turned away (from this promise) except the people and then sat down.
  84. And when We took a covenant from you not to fight and not to remove yourselves from their homeland, you agreed, and you are witnesses (of this).
  85. Then you are the one who kills your own people and expels some of your people from their homeland by committing sin and oppression, and if they come to you as prisoners, then redeem them by taking revenge.  You take them, even though it was forbidden for you to expel them.  (Is it) that you obey some of the commandments of the Book (of God) and deny others, so what can be the punishment for those among you who do such an act except that  May you be disgraced in the life of this world, and on the Day of Resurrection, you will be put to the most severe punishment, and God is not oblivious to what you do.
  86. These are the people who bought the life of this world for the hereafter.  So neither will the punishment be lightened by them, nor will they be helped (in any other way).
  87. And We gave Musa the Book, and sent Messengers after him, and gave clear signs to Jesus son of Maryam, and helped him with the Holy Spirit (i.e. Gabriel), when a Messenger came to you with such things.  , those whom your life did not want, so you became rebellious, and you kept denying one group (prophets) and killing one group.
  88. And they say, Our hearts are in veils.  (No) Rather, Allah has cursed them because of their disbelief.  So they only believe in a little.
  89. And when there came to them the Book from Allah which also confirms His (heavenly) Book, and they used to (always) ask for victory over the disbelievers, then what they knew well, when they had  When they arrived, they disbelieved in it.  So the curse of Allah is on the disbelievers
  90. What they sold to themselves in exchange for it is very bad, that is, from the burning that God sends down on whomever He wills among His servants by His grace.  When they began to disbelieve in the revealed book of God, they became extremely angry.  And for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment.
  91. And when it is said to them, “Believe in what (the Book) God has (now) sent down.”  So they say that the book that has been revealed to us (before), we believe in it.  (That is) they do not believe in any (book) other than it, although it is (absolutely) true and confirms what is their (heavenly) book.  Say (to them), if you were believers, why would you have killed the Messengers of Allah in the first place?
  92. And Moses came to you with open miracles, so after them (going to the mountain), you made the calf a god, and you used to do injustice (to yourselves).
  93. And when We confirmed the covenant with you (people) and raised the mountain upon you (and ordered) that which (the Book) We have given you, hold fast to it and whatever you are commanded (  When they heard this, they (who were your elders) said, “We have heard it, but we do not believe it.”  And because of their disbelief, the calf was (as if) pierced in their hearts.  Say (O Prophet to them) that if you are believers, your faith tells you bad things.
  94. Say: If the home of the Hereafter is not for people (i.e. Muslims) and is reserved for you in the sight of God, then if you are truthful, then wish for death.
  95. But because of the deeds which their hands have sent forward, they will never desire it, and God is (well) aware of the wrongdoers.
  96. Rather, you will find them greedy for life from you and people, even from polytheists.  Each one of them wishes to live for a thousand years, but even if he gets such a long life, it cannot save him from punishment.  And those who do this, God is watching them.
  97. Say: Whoever is an enemy of Gabriel (he should die in anger), he has revealed (this book) to your heart by the command of God, confirming the first books, and a guidance for the believers and  It is glad tidings
  98. Whoever is an enemy of God and His angels and His prophets and Gabriel and Michael, then God is an enemy of such disbelievers.
  99. And We have sent down to you confused verses, and those who reject them are the evil-doers.
  100. When those people made a covenant (with God), one of them threw it away (like something).  The fact is that most of them are disbelievers
  101. And when there came to them a Messenger from Allah, and they confirmed His (heavenly) Book, a party of those who had been given the Book threw the Book of God behind their backs.  Given, as if they did not know
  102. And they followed those (humors) that the devils used to teach during the reign of Solomon, and Solomon did not speak of absolute disbelief, but the devils were the ones who disbelieved by teaching magic to the people.  And also (followed) those things which came down to the two angels (namely) Harut and Marut in the city of Babylon.  And both of them did not teach anyone anything, until they said that we are (the source of) testing.  You do not fall into infedility.  Therefore people used to learn (such magic) from them, by which they could separate husband and wife.  And they could not harm anyone with it (magic) except by God’s command.  And some would learn such (mantras) which would only harm them and would not benefit them.  And they knew that whoever buys such things (i.e. charms and mantras etc.) has no share in the Hereafter.  And what they sold their lives for was evil.  If only they knew (this)
  103. And if they had believed and practiced piety, they would have received a great reward from God.  Oh, if only they were aware of it
  104. O people of faith!  (At the time of conversation with the Prophet of God) Raana did not say.  Do what you say.  And listen carefully, and for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.
  105. Those who are disbelievers, people of the book or polytheists do not like that good (blessings) be showered upon you from your Lord.  And God makes special for whom He wills with His mercy, and God is the Owner of great bounty.
  106. We send down the verse that We abrogate or forget, better or similar.  Don’t you know that God has power over all things?
  107. Do you not know that the kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs to God, and you have no friend or helper except God?
  108. Do you want to ask your Prophet the same questions that were asked of Moses before?  And he who has disbelieved instead of faith, has gone astray from the straight path.
  109. Many of the People of the Book want to turn you into disbelievers after losing faith.  Although the truth has been revealed to them.  so you should forgive and forget.  Until God sends His (second) command.  Indeed, God is capable of all things.
  110. And keep praying and giving Zakat.  And whatever goodness you send forward for yourself, you will find it with God.  There is no doubt that God is watching all your deeds.
  111. And (Jews and Christians) say that no one will go to Paradise except Jews and Christians.  These are false thoughts of these people.  Say (to them, O Prophet): If you are truthful, present the evidence.
  112. Yes, whoever bows his neck before God, (i.e. believes) and is also a good deed, then his reward is with his Lord, and such people will not have any fear (on the Day of Resurrection) and neither will they.  They will be sad
  113. And the Jews say that the Christians are not on the way and the Christians say that the Jews are not on the way.  Although they read the Book (Divine).  In the same way, those who do not know (i.e. polytheists) say exactly the same thing, so God will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection.
  114. And who is more unjust than that, who forbids the mention of God’s name in the mosques of God and helps in their desolation. These people have no right to enter them except in fear.  For them is disgrace in this world and a great punishment in the Hereafter.
  115. And the east and the west belong to God.  So wherever you turn.  God is present here.  Verily, God is All-Wise and All-Knowing.
  116. And these people are convinced that God has children.  (No) Glorified is He, but all that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him and all are subject to His commands.
  117. (He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth.  When someone wants to do something, he tells him that if it is done, then it is done.
  118. And those who do not know (i.e. polytheists) say, “Why does God not speak to us?”  Or why we don’t get any sign.  In the same way, those who were before him, they also used to say the same things.  Their hearts are similar to one another.  (118) Signs have been explained for those who have faith.
  119. (O Muhammad) We have sent you as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner with the truth.  And no question will be asked of you about the people of Hell.
  120. And neither the Jews nor the Christians will ever be pleased with you, until you follow their religion.  Say (to them) that God’s guidance (i.e. the religion of Islam) is the only guidance.  And (O Prophet) if you follow their wishes even after knowledge (i.e. God’s revelation) has come to you, you will not have a friend or a helper from God.
  121. Those to whom We have given the Book recite it (as) it has the right to be recited.  These are the people who believe in it, and those who do not believe in it, they are the losers.
  122. O children of Israel!  Remember My favors which I bestowed on you and that I gave you superiority over the people of the world.
  123. And fear the Day when a person will not be of any use to a person, and no reward will be accepted from him, and no one’s intercession will benefit him, and people will not be able to get (any other kind of) help.
  124. And when the Lord tested Abraham in a few things, he completely failed in them.  God said that I will make you a leader of the people.  He said: (God) also (make a Peshwa) from among my children.  God said that our confession is not for the wrongdoers.
  125. And when We appointed the Kaaba as a place for people to gather and find peace, and (ordered that) make the place where Abraham stood, a place of prayer.  And he said to Ibrahim and Ishmael: Keep my house clean for those who perform circumambulation and those who perform itikaaf and those who bow and prostrate.
  126. And when Abraham prayed, O Lord, make this place a city of peace and give fruits to those who believe in God and the Last Day among its inhabitants, then God said: Whoever disbelieves
  127. And when Ibrahim and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the house of God, (they used to pray) O Lord, accept this service from us.  Verily, He is the Hearer (and) the Knower.
  128. O Lord, keep us obedient to You.  And keep a group of our children obedient to you, and (Lord) teach us the way of worship and pay attention (with mercy) to our condition.  Verily, He who pays attention is Merciful.
  129. O Lord, send among them a prophet who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify their (hearts).  Indeed, He is Mighty and Wise.
  130. And who can turn away from the religion of Abraham, except he who is very ignorant.  We had chosen them in this world, and in the Hereafter they will be among the righteous.
  131. When their Lord said to them: Bring Islam, they said: I bow before the Lord of the worlds.
  132. And Abraham bequeathed the same thing to his sons and Jacob also (said the same thing to his sons) that, son, God has chosen this religion for you, so if you want to die, then die as a Muslim.
  133. Well, when Yaqub started to die, you were there when he asked his sons who will you worship after me, and they said that your god and your fathers Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac.  We will worship God, who is One God, and we are His command bearers.
  134. This party has passed.  They will be repaid for their deeds, and you will not be questioned about your deeds and what they used to do.
  135. And (Jews and Christians) say: If you become a Jew or a Christian, then follow the straight path.  Say (O Prophet to them), (No) but (we) have (chosen) the religion of Abraham, who belonged to one God and was not of the polytheists.
  136. (Muslims) Say: We believe in God and what (the Book) has come down to us, and what (the Scriptures) was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and their descendants, and what (the Books) Moses and Jesus.  We do not make any distinction between any of these prophets, and we are obedient to Him (Allah alone).
  137. So if these people also believe in the same way as you have believed, then they will be guided, and if they turn away (and do not believe), then they are against (you) and God is sufficient for you compared to them.  And He is the Hearer (and) the Knower
  138. (Say that we have) (adopted) the color of God and who can have a better color than God.  And it is He whom we are to worship
  139. Say (to them): Do you dispute with us about God, although He is our Lord and your Lord, and we shall be rewarded for our deeds and you for your deeds, and it is He that we worship.  Those are
  140. (O Jews and Christians) Are you convinced that Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and their descendants were Jews or Christians?  Say (O Muhammad ﷺ to them) that you know more or God?  And who is more unjust than that, who hides the testimony of God, which is with Him (in the Book).  And whatever you do, God is not unaware of it.
  141. This party has passed.  They (will get) what they did, and you what you did.  And you will not be questioned about what they used to do.
  142. Foolish people will say that why do Muslims turn away from the Qibla they used to follow.  You say that the east and the west all belong to God.  He guides whom He wills to a straight path.
  143. And thus We have made you a moderate nation, so that you may be witnesses over the people and the Prophet (Akhtar al-Zaman) may be a witness over you.  And the qibla on which you were (before), We appointed it in order to find out who obeys (our) Prophet, and who turns away.  And this thing (i.e., keeping the Qiblah) seemed precious to the people, but those whom God has guided (they do not consider it precious), and God is not such that He will lose your faith just like that.  God is the Most Merciful (and) Merciful to people.
  144. (O Muhammad ﷺ) We see you turning your face towards the sky.  So, We will command you to face the Qiblah which you like, so turn your face towards the Masjid Haram (i.e. the Kaaba).  And wherever you are, turn your face towards this mosque (while praying).  And those who have been given the Book know very well that (the new Qiblah) is the truth from their Lord.  And God is not unaware of what these people do.
  145. And even if you bring all the signs to these People of the Book, they will not follow your Qiblah.  And you are not going to follow their Qibla.  And some of them are not followers of each other’s Qibla.  And if you follow their desires despite the fact that wisdom has come to you (i.e. God’s revelation), you will be among the wrongdoers.
  146. (146) Those to whom We have given the Book recognize him (the Last Prophet) as they recognize their own sons, but one party among them is deliberately concealing the truth.
  147. (O Prophet, this new Qibla) is the truth from your Lord, so do not be among those who doubt.
  148. And for each (sect) there is a direction (fixed).  What do they do with their mouths (at the time of worship)?  So you excel in good deeds.  Wherever you live, God will gather you all.  Verily, God is Able to do all things.
  149. And wherever you leave, turn your face (in prayer) towards the masjid masjid, verily it is the truth from your Lord.  And what you guys do.  God is not unaware of it
  150. And from wherever you come out, turn your face towards the sacred mosque.  And Muslims, wherever you go, turn towards this (mosque).  (This emphasis) is (made) so that people cannot blame you in any way.  But those of them who are wrongdoers, (then blame them, then give them) so don’t be afraid of them and keep on being afraid of me.  And it is also intended that I bestow upon you all My blessings and also that you walk on the right path
  151. Just as We have sent among you a Messenger from among you who recites to you Our verses and purifies you and teaches you the Book (i.e. the Qur’an) and wisdom, and tells you things which  You did not know before
  152. So you remember me.  I will miss you.  And continue to accept My favors and not be ungrateful.
  153. O you who believe, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, God is with those who persevere.
  154. And about those who are killed in the way of God, to say that they are dead (they are not dead), but they are alive, but you do not know.
  155. And We will test you with some fear and hunger and loss of wealth and lives and fruits, so give glad tidings (of God’s pleasure) to those who are patient.
  156. When any calamity befalls these people, they say that we belong to God and to Him we shall return.
  157. These are the people on whom the kindness and mercy of their Lord is.  And they are on the straight path
  158. Yeshak (mountain) Safa and Marwah are among the signs of God.  So whoever performs Hajj or Umrah of the Kaaba, there is no sin on him if he circumambulates both.  (Rather, circumambulation is a type of good deed) and whoever does a good deed, God is Appreciative and Wise.
  159. Those who conceal Our commands and instructions which We have sent down (for any purpose) even though We have explained them clearly in Our Book for them (to understand).  God and all cursers curse them.
  160. Yes, those who repent and correct their condition and explain (God’s commandments) clearly, then I will forgive their sins and I am Oft-Forgiving (and) Most Merciful.
  161. Those who became disbelievers and died as disbelievers, the curse of God and the angels and all the people is on them.
  162. They will always be (caught) in this (curse).  Neither will the punishment be lightened by them, nor will they get (some) respite.
  163. And (people) your god is God alone, there is none worthy of worship except the Most Merciful (and) Most Merciful.
  164. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the succession of night and day, and in the boats and ships that move in the river carrying things useful to people, and in the rain that God sends down from the sky and from it on the earth.  He revives after death (i.e. green after the withered) and spreads all kinds of animals on the earth and in the blowing of the winds and in the clouds that are enclosed between the sky and the earth.  There are signs (of God’s power) for the wise.
  165. And there are some people who associate non-Gods (gods) and love them as Gods.  But those who believe are the best friends of God.  And I wish the cruel people, who will see the thing at the time of punishment, would see now that all power belongs to God.  And that God is severe in punishment
  166. On that day the leaders (of disbelief) will show disgust with their followers and (both) will see the (divine) chastisement and their relations will be cut off.
  167. (Seeing this state of affairs) the followers will say (regretfully): Oh, I wish we had the good fortune to go to the world again, so that as they are disgusted with us, so we too are disgusted with them.  Similarly, God will make them regret their deeds and they will not be able to get out of hell.
  168. People, eat what is lawful in the land.  Do not step towards evil path.  He is your open enemy.
  169. He tells you to do only evil and indecency, and also to say things about God of which you have no (anything) knowledge.
  170. And when it is said to these people to follow what (the book) God has revealed, they say (no), but we will follow what we found our fathers to follow.  Even if their forefathers do not understand anything and are not on the straight path (even then they will follow them)
  171. The example of those who disbelieve is that of a person who calls out to something that cannot hear anything but the call and the sound.  (These) are deaf, dumb, and blind that (some) cannot understand.
  172. O you who believe, eat of the pure things that We have given you, and if you are the servants of God, be thankful for Him (His blessings).
  173. He has forbidden you dead animals and blood and the flesh of pigs and anything that is called by the name of anyone other than God, yes that which becomes bad (provided) he does not disobey God and does not go beyond the limits (of necessity).  There is no sin on it.  Indeed, God is Oft-Forgiving (and) Most Merciful.
  174. Those who hide what He has revealed from the Book (of God) and get a small price (i.e. worldly benefit) for it, they only fill their bellies with fire.  God will not speak to such people on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them (from their sins). And for them is a painful punishment.
  175. These are the people who bought punishment by forsaking guidance and misguidance and forsaking forgiveness.  What kind of sufferers are these (fires) of hell!
  176. This is because God revealed the Book with truth.  And those who disagreed in this book, they are stubborn (and turned away from goodness).
  177. Goodness is not that you should face the east or the west (considering them to be Qiblah), but it is good that people believe in God and the Last Day and the angels and the Book (of God) and the Prophets.  And give the wealth to relatives and orphans and the needy and the travelers and the beggars, and (spend) on the redemption of necks, and pray and give alms.  And when you make a commitment, keep it.  And persevere in hardship and suffering and in the time of (battle) warfare.  These are the people who are true (in faith) and these are the ones who fear (God).
  178. Believers!  You are ordered to retaliate for the slain (i.e. blood for blood) (in such a way that) free (kill) for free and slave for slave and woman for woman and murderer for his (slain).  If something is forgiven from the brother (in Qisas), then (the heir of the deceased) should follow (the decision) in the preferred way (i.e. demand bloodshed) and pay (the murderer) cheerfully. This is from the Lord.  For you is ease and mercy; whoever transgresses after that, for him is the punishment of sorrow.
  179. And O people of reason, (your) life is in retribution, that you avoid (murder and bloodshed)
  180. It is obligatory upon you that when the time of death comes to one of you, if he is going to leave some property, then he should make a will for his parents and relatives according to the law.  It is true
  181. Whoever alters the will after hearing it, the sin of that (alteration) is on the people who alter it.  And indeed God hears and knows.
  182. If someone fears favoritism (of an heir) on the part of the testator or loss of right, then if he (changes the will) reconciles the heirs, there is no sin on him.  Indeed, God is Forgiving (and) Merciful.
  183. Believers!  You are obliged to fast.  Just as it was imposed on people before you, so that you may be pious.
  184. (Days of fasting) There are a few days of counting, so whoever among you is sick or on a journey should complete the number of fasts on the other days, and those who have the strength to fast (but do not fast) should give to the needy in exchange for fasting.  Feed, and whoever does good with passion, it is better for him.  And if you understand, fasting is better for you.
  185. (The month of fasting) Ramadan (is) the month in which the Qur’an (first) was revealed, which is a guide for the people and (in which) there are clear signs of guidance and (which distinguishes between right and wrong).  One of you should be present in this month to keep fasts for the whole month, and if he is sick or on a journey, he should make up for them in other days.  God desires ease for you and does not desire hardship, and (this order of ease) is (given) so that you complete the number of fasts and in return for the favor that God has guided you, you honor it.  Remember and give thanks to Him
  186. And (O Prophet) when My servants ask you about Me, (say) I am with (you) when a caller calls upon Me, I accept his supplication, so they should obey My commands.  Believe in me and believe in me so that you may find the right path
  187. It has been made for you to go to your wives during the nights of fasting, they are your clothing and you are their clothing.  And she passed through your movements. Now (you have the right to) have intercourse with them.  And ask (from God) what God has written for you (i.e. children) and eat and drink until the white stripe of the morning becomes distinct from the black stripe (of the night).  Then complete the fast till night and do not have sexual intercourse with them when you are sitting in I’tikaf in the mosques.  These are the limits of God, do not approach them.  In the same way, God explains His verses openly for the people (to understand) so that they may become pious.
  188. And do not eat one another’s property unjustly, and do not take it (as a bribe) to the rulers, so that you may eat a part of the people’s property unjustly, and (you know it).
  189. (O Muhammad) people ask you about the new moon (why it waxes and wanes), say that it is a means for people to know (the dates of works) and the time of Hajj, and the good is not that (  (in the state of Ihram) come into the houses from their backsides.  Rather, the righteous is he who is pious and enter houses through their doors and fear God so that he may be saved.
  190. And those who fight you, fight them in the way of God, but do not transgress, for God does not befriend transgressors.
  191. And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they drove you out.  And the mischief (of leading astray from the religion) is greater than murder and bloodshed, and do not fight them there until they fight you near the Sacred Mosque (i.e. the Kaaba).  Yes, if they fight you, you will kill them.  This is the punishment of the disbelievers
  192. And if they turn away, God is Oft-Forgiving (and) Most Merciful.
  193. And keep fighting them until corruption is eradicated and the religion of God becomes (in the country) and if they desist (from corruption), then no one (must be abused) except the wrongdoers.
  194. The month of literature is the opposite of the month of literature and the things of literature are reciprocal to each other.  So if someone abuses you, do the same to him as he does to you.  And fear God and know that God is with those who fear
  195. And spend (wealth) in the way of God, and do not cast yourselves into destruction, and do good; indeed, God loves those who do good.
  196. And perform Hajj and Umrah for the sake of God.  And if you are stopped (on the way), then (do) such a sacrifice as is available and do not shave your head until the sacrifice reaches its place.  And if anyone among you is sick or has any kind of pain in his head, then (if he shaves his head) he should fast or give alms or sacrifice for him.  Among you) benefit from Umrah until the time of Hajj, even if such a sacrifice is available.  And he who does not get (sacrifice) should observe three fasts during Hajj and seven when he returns.  It was ten in total.  This order is for a person whose family does not live in Makkah and fear God and know that God is severe in punishment.
  197. The months of Hajj are known, so if a person intends to perform Hajj in these months, he should not mix with women, nor do any bad deeds, nor quarrel with anyone.  And the good deeds that you do will be known to God, and take the cost of the road with you, because the better (benefit) of the cost of the road is piety, and fear me, O people of understanding.
  198. It is not a sin for you to ask for sustenance from your Lord (through trade during the days of Hajj) and when you start returning from Arafat, remember God in Mushar al-Haram (i.e. Muzdalifah) and remember him in the same way that He made you remember him.  taught to  And before that you were merely ignorant (of these ways)
  199. Then you also return from where other people return and seek forgiveness from God.  Verily, God is Forgiving and Merciful
  200. Then when all the parts of Hajj have been completed, remember God (in Mina).  Just as they used to remember their fathers, but even more than that, there are some people who plead (to God) that, O Lord, grant us (which is the world) in this world only, such people have some share in the Hereafter.
  201. And there are some who pray that the Lord may bless us in this world and bless us in the Hereafter and protect us from the punishment of Hellfire.
  202. These are the people for whom a portion of their deeds (i.e. a good reward is prepared) and God is quick to reckon (and quick to reward)
  203. And remember God in the days (of) reckoning.  If someone rushes (and) (walks) in two days, then there is no sin on him either.  And there is no sin on those who stay till later.  These words are for the one who fears (God) and you people fear God and know that you will all be gathered to Him.
  204. And there is a person whose conversation you find attractive in the life of this world, and he makes God a witness on his honest conscience, even though he is a bitter quarreler.
  205. And when he turns his back, he runs about in the earth to cause mischief in it and to (ruin) the crops and destroy the race (of men and animals). And God does not like mischief.
  206. And when he is told to fear God, pride traps him in sin.  So such a person deserves hell.  And that is a very bad abode.
  207. And there is a person who sells his life to gain the pleasure of God, and God is Most Merciful to His servants.
  208. Believers!  Enter Islam wholeheartedly and do not follow Satan, for he is your open enemy.
  209. Then if you stagger after reaching clear commandments, then know that God is Mighty (and) Wise.
  210. Are these people looking forward to the fact that God will send (punishment) upon them in the canopy of the clouds and the angels will also (come down) and the work will be finished and all the work is directed to God.
  211. (O Muhammad) Ask the children of Israel how many clear signs We gave them.  And whoever changes the blessing of God after it comes to him, God is severe in punishment.
  212. And the life of this world has been made pleasant for those who disbelieve, and they mock the believers, but those who are pious will prevail over them on the Day of Resurrection, and God provides abundantly to whom He wills.
  213. (At first all) the people had one religion (but they began to differ among themselves), so God sent (to them) messengers bringing glad tidings and warnings, and sent down upon them books with the truth, so that in matters which  People used to disagree and decide between them.  And the people who had been given the Book disagreed about it, even though clear revelations had come to them (and they disagreed only) against each other.  God, by His grace, showed the way to the believers.  And God guides whom He wills to a straight path.
  214. Do you think that (this way) you will enter paradise and you have not yet faced the (difficulties) of the first people.  (Great) hardships and sufferings befell them and they were shaken (in hardships).  Even the Prophet and the believers who were with him cried out when God’s help would come.  Behold, the help of God is near.
  215. (O Muhammad, peace be upon him) People ask you what kind of wealth to spend (in the way of God).  Say: (Spend what you want, but) whatever wealth you want to spend, give it (in degrees) to the privileged, i.e., to parents and close relatives, to orphans, to the needy, and to travelers (to all) and whatever good you do.  God knows that.
  216. (Muslims) Fighting (in the way of God) has been enjoined upon you. It will be distasteful to you, but it is no wonder that a thing seems bad to you and it is good for you, and it is no wonder that a thing seems good to you and it is good.  Harmful to you.  And these things) God knows best and you do not know
  217.   (O Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) People ask you about fighting in the sacred months, say that fighting in them is a great (sin) and preventing from the path of God and disbelieving in Him and going to the Sacred Mosque (i.e. going to the Kaaba).  to (close).  And expelling the people of the mosque from it (who are disbelievers) is a greater (sin) in the sight of God.  For persecution is worse than slaughter.  And these people will always fight you until they turn you away from your religion if they can.  And whoever among you turns away from his religion and dies as an unbeliever, then their deeds will be wasted in this world and the Hereafter, and they are the ones who will (go to) Hell, where they will remain forever.
  218. Those who believed and left their homeland for the sake of God and fought (against the infidels) are the candidates for God’s mercy.  And God is Forgiving (and) Merciful.
  219. (O Prophet) People ask you about the order of alcohol and gambling.  Say that there are great losses in them and there are some benefits for the people, but their losses are far greater than the benefits, and they also ask you what wealth to spend (in the way of God).  Say that which is more than necessary.  In this way God explains His commandments to you clearly so that you may think.
  220. (That is) (contemplate) in (matters of) this world and the hereafter.  And we ask you about the orphans, say that their improvement is a great deed.  And if you want to live together with them (i.e. keep the expenses together), then they are your brothers and God knows best who is the wrongdoer and who is the reformer.  And if God willed, He could have afflicted you. Verily, God is Mighty (and) Wise.
  221. And do not marry polytheist women until they believe.  Because a polytheist woman, no matter how good you like her, is better than a believing slave.  And (in the same way) polytheist men do not marry believing women until they believe, because a believing slave is better than a polytheist (man), no matter how good he may be to you.  They call (polytheists) to hell.  And God, by His grace, calls to Paradise and forgiveness.  And he declares his orders openly to the people so that they may be admonished.
  222. And we ask you about menstruation.  Say: ‘It is an injury.  Stay away from women during their menstrual periods.  And do not associate with them until they are purified.  Yes, when you become pure, go to them in the way that God has said.  There is no doubt that God loves those who repent and are pure.
  223. Your women are your farm, so go about your farm as you wish.  And forward (good deeds) for yourself.  And fear God and know that (one day) you will appear before Him and (O Prophet) give glad tidings to the believers.
  224. And do not use (the name of) God as a trick to prevent you from taking (His) oaths and behaving righteously and making peace and reconciliation between people.  And God hears and knows everything.
  225. God will not impeach you for your false oaths.  But he will impeach the oaths that you take deliberately.  And God is Forgiving, Forbearing
  226. Those who swear to go to their wives should wait for four months.  If you turn away (from the oath during this period), then God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
  227. And even if they intend to divorce, God hears (and) knows.
  228. And the divorced women should keep to themselves for three periods.  And if they believe in God and the Last Day, then it is not permissible for them to hide what God has created in their stomachs.  And if their husbands then want to be reconciled, then during this (period) they are more entitled to marry them.  And the right of women (over men) is the same as (the right of men) over women according to the constitution.  However, men are superior to women.  And God is Mighty (and) Wise.
  229. Divorce is (only) twice (i.e. when the divorce is given twice) then either let (the women) remain (in marriage) in a modest manner or leave them with goodness.  And it is not permissible to take back some of the dowry you have given them.  Yes, if the husband and wife fear that they will not be able to uphold the limits of God, then if the woman gives something in exchange for being released (from the hand of the husband), then there is no sin on both of them.  These are the (fixed) limits of God, do not go beyond them.  And those who go beyond the bounds of God, they will be sinners.
  230. Then if the husband divorces the woman (the third after two divorces), then it will not be lawful for her (the first husband) until she marries another person.  Yes, if the second husband also gives divorce and the woman and the first husband then turn to each other, there is no sin on them, provided that both of them believe that they will be able to uphold the limits of God, and these are the limits of God.  He explains for those who have knowledge
  231. And when you have divorced the women (twice) and their Idda has been completed, then either let them remain in marriage with good behavior or send them away politely, and do not allow them to remain in marriage with the intention of causing them pain.  And abuse them.  And he who does so will harm himself. And do not make fun of the commandments of God and the blessings that God has bestowed on you and the Book and the words of wisdom that He has sent down to you with which He advises you.  Remember them.  And fear God and know that God knows all things.
  232. And when you have divorced the women and their Iddah period has been completed, do not prevent them from marrying other husbands when they agree with each other lawfully.  This (order) is admonished to him who among you believes in God and the Last Day.  This is a very good and pure matter for you, and God knows and you do not know.
  233. And mothers should breastfeed their children for two whole years.  And the food and clothing of nursing mothers will be the responsibility of the father according to the Constitution.  A person is not harmed beyond his strength (so remember that) neither a mother is harmed because of her child, nor a father is harmed because of his children, and so on.  It is the responsibility of the heir of the child.  And if both (i.e. parents) want to wean the child with mutual consent and advice, then there is no sin on them.  And if you wish to breastfeed your children, then there is no sin on you, provided you give to those who are breastfeeding according to the law what you were supposed to give them, and fear God and know that whatever you do, God  Looking at him
  234. And those of you who die and leave women, then the women should abstain for four months and ten days.  And when they have completed (this) Iddah and done what they like (i.e. marriage), then there is no sin on them.  And God is aware of all your deeds.
  235. And if you send messages of marriage to women in the words of Kunai or hide (the desire for marriage) in your hearts, then there is no sin on you.  God knows that you will mention (marriage) to them.  But (in the days of Idda) do not confess to them secretly except that you say something according to the law.  And do not make a firm intention of marriage until the period is completed.  And know that God knows all that is in your hearts, so fear Him, and know that God is Forgiving and Merciful.
  236. And if you divorce women before going to them or fixing their dowry, then there is no sin on you.  Yes, give them some expenses according to the constitution (ie) the wealthy should give according to their ability and the needy should according to their status.  It is a kind of right upon the good people
  237. And if you divorce the women before going to them, but you have fixed the dowry, half of the dowry must be given.  Yes, if the women give the dowry or the men who have the marriage contract in their hands give up (their right).  (And if they give the full dowry, then they have the right) And if you men give up your rights, then this is a matter of piety.  and dont forget to do good with each other.  There is no doubt that God is watching all your deeds.
  238. (Muslims) Perform all prayers, especially the middle prayer (i.e. Asr prayer) with full commitment.  And stand politely before God
  239. If you are in a state of fear, then be on foot or on horseback (in whatever state you are in), then when you are at peace, then remember God in the way that God has taught you, which you did not know before.
  240. And those among you who die and leave wives, should make a bequest in favor of their wives that they should be spent for one year and not be taken out of the house.  Yes, if they leave the house themselves and do what they like (i.e. marriage), then there is no sin on you.  And God is All-Wise
  241. And divorced women should also be given bread and sustenance according to the law.
  242. In the same way, God explains His commandments to you so that you may understand.
  243. Have you not seen those people who were (in number) thousands and fled from their homes for fear of death?  So God ordered them to die.  Then he made them alive.  There is no doubt that God is kind to people.  But most people do not give thanks
  244. And strive (Muslims) in the way of God and know that God knows (everything).
  245. There is one who lends a good debt to God, and He will give him many shares in return.  And it is God who narrows sustenance and expands it.  And to Him you will return.
  246. Have you not seen a group of Bani Israel who asked their Prophet after Moses to appoint a king for us so that we may fight in the way of God?  The Prophet said that if you are ordered to fight, no wonder you turn away from fighting.  They said, “Why should we not fight in the way of God, when we were (expelled) from our countrymen and separated from our children?”  But when they were ordered to wage jihad, all but a few people turned away.  And God is well aware of the wrongdoers.
  247. And the Prophet said to them (also) that God has appointed Talut as a king over you.  He said that how can he have the right of kingship over us, we deserve the kingship and he does not even have much wealth.  The Prophet said, “God has given him superiority over you and has chosen him (for the kingship). He has given him a lot of knowledge, and he has also given him a lot of body and mind, and God (has authority) over whom He wills.”  Give the kingdom.
  248. And the Prophet said to them: The sign of their kingdom is that there will come to you an ark carried by angels, in it will be consolation from your Lord, and there will be some other things which  Moses and Aaron had left.  If you believe, this is a great sign for you.
  249. Therefore, when Talut left with the troops, he said (to them) that God is going to test you with a canal.  Whoever drinks water from it (will be considered as) not mine.  And whoever does not drink it (will be considered as) mine.  Yes, if someone drinks a handful of water with his hand (then good. When those people reached the canal) then everyone drank the water except for a few people.  Then when Talut and the believers who were with him crossed the canal.  So they said that today we do not have the strength to fight against Goliath and his army.  Those who believed that they had to appear in the presence of God said that sometimes a small group has won victory over a large group by the command of God, and God is with those who are independent.
  250. And when those people came against Goliath and his army, they prayed (to God) that, O Lord, open the gates of patience for us and make us steadfast (in battle) and give us victory over (the army of) the disbelievers.
  251. So the army of Talut defeated them by the command of God.  And David killed Goliath.  And God gave him kingdom and wisdom and taught him whatever he wanted.  And if God did not keep people away from each other (to attack and attack) then the country would be destroyed, but God is most merciful to the people of the world.
  252. These are the verses of God which We recite to you in truth (and O Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) you are indeed of the prophets.
  253. Among these Prophets (whom We continue to send from time to time), We have preferred some over others.  There are some whom God spoke to and raised the ranks of some (in other matters).  And We gave Jesus the son of Mary clear signs and helped him with the Holy Spirit.  And if God had willed, the people before them would not have fought among themselves after clear signs had come to them, but they differed, so some of them believed and some remained unbelievers.  And if God had willed, these people would not have fought among themselves.  But God does what He wills
  254. O you who believe, spend what We have given you before the Day comes in which there will be no bargaining, no friendship, no intercession, and those who disbelieve are unjust.
  255. Allah (He is the true God) There is none worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, Who neither slumbers nor sleeps, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth belongs to Him, and who is it without His permission?  He knows all that is happening in front of some people and what has happened behind them, and they cannot gain access to any of his information, yes, as much as he wants.  His kingdom (and knowledge) dominates the heavens and the earth, and there is nothing difficult for Him to protect them.
  256. There is no compulsion in religion (Islam). Guidance is (clearly apparent and) separated from misguidance. So whoever does not believe in idols and believes in God, he has grasped a strong rope in his hand that will never break.  And God hears (everything) and knows (everything).
  257. The friend of those who believe is God, who takes them out of darkness into the light, and the friends of those who disbelieve are Satan, who takes them out of the light and into darkness.  I will remain forever
  258. Have you not seen the person who started arguing with Abraham about his Lord because of his (arrogance) that God had given him the kingdom?  When Abraham said, My Lord is He who burns and kills.  He said that I can burn and kill.  Abraham said, “God brings the sun out from the east, you bring it out from the west.”
  259.   Or likewise the person (not seen) who happened to be in a village who had fallen on his roof.  So he said: How will God revive it (its inhabitants) after death?  So God seized his soul (and) for a hundred years (kept him dead) then raised him up and asked how long you have been (dead) he replied that a day or less.  God said (no), but live (dead) for a hundred years.  And look at your food and drink that it has not rotted (in such a period of time), and look at your donkey (which is dead) because (by these words) We have made you for the people (of our power).  Make a sign and see the bones of the (yes, donkey) how We would have joined them and (how) we would have put flesh on them.  When these events came under his observation, he said, “I believe that God has power over all things.”
  260. And when Abraham said (to God), “O Lord, show me how You will revive the dead.”  God said: Have you not believed (this)?  They said ‘why not.  But (I see) because (I want) my heart to get complete satisfaction.  God said: Take four animals and ask them to come to you (and cut them into pieces), then put a piece of them on each mountain, then call them and they will come running to you.  And know that God is Mighty and Wise.
  261. The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of God is like a grain from which seven heads of hair grow, and in each head there are hundreds of grains, and God increases whomever He wills.  .  He is All-Wise and All-Knowing.
  262. Those who spend their wealth in the way of God, then after that they do not show favor to (anyone) for that expenditure, nor do they harm (anyone).  Their reward is with their Lord.  And (on the Day of Resurrection) they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.
  263. After giving alms, it is better to speak softly to him and forgive (his rudeness), and God is Merciful, Forbearing.
  264. Believers!  Don’t waste your charity and benevolence like this person.  He who spends wealth to show off to people and does not believe in God and the Last Day.  So the example of his (wealth) is like that of a rock on which a little dust has fallen, and a strong rain is poured on it and it is cleaned.  (Similarly) these (hypocrites) will not be able to get any reward for their deeds.  And God does not guide such ungrateful people.
  265. And the example of those who spend their wealth sincerely to seek the pleasure of God is like a garden that is situated on a high place and (when) rain falls on it, it bears double fruit.  And even if it does not rain, let it be good and God is watching your deeds.
  266. Does any one of you wish to have a garden of date palms and vineyards in which rivers flow, and in which there are all kinds of fruits for him, and that he may have old age and his little children.  Then (suddenly) a whirlwind full of fire will pass over this garden and it will be burnt (into a pile of ashes).  In this way God explains His verses to you openly so that you may think (and understand)
  267. Believers!  Spend (in the way of God) what pure and good wealth you earn and what We bring forth for you from the earth.  And do not intend to give bad and impure things (if those things are given to you) except (while taking) close your eyes and never take them.  And know that God is Careless (and) Praiseworthy.
  268. (And see) Shaytan (do not listen to what he says) makes you afraid of hardship and tells you to do indecency.  And God promises you His forgiveness and mercy.  And God is All-Knowing (and) All-Wise.
  269. He bestows upon enlightenment to whom He wishes.  And he who has received wisdom has indeed received a great blessing.  And advice is accepted only by those who are wise.
  270. And whatever you spend (in the way of God) or take a vow, God knows it, and there is no helper for the wrongdoers.
  271. If you give alms openly, that is also good, and if you give in secret, and also to the needy, it is better, and (such giving) will also remove your sins.  And God knows all that you do.
  272. (O Muhammad, peace be upon him) You are not responsible for guiding these people, but God guides whom He wills.  And (believers) whatever wealth you spend, you will benefit from it, and whatever you spend, you will spend it for the pleasure of God.  And whatever wealth you spend, it will be given to you in full, and you will not be harmed in any way.
  273. (And yes, what you will spend) for those in need who are standing in the way of God and do not have the strength to go anywhere in the country (and are reluctant to ask) even the ignorant person because of not asking.  He considers them rich, and you should clearly recognize them by their appearance (that they are needy and because of shame) they cannot beg from people (by opening their mouths and hugging) and whatever wealth you will spend, there is no doubt that God will  Who knows
  274. Those who spend their wealth night and day, hidden and visible (in the way of God), their reward is with their Lord, and they will have no fear (on the Day of Resurrection) and no sorrow.
  275. Those who consume usury will rise (from the graves) like those who have been driven mad by a jinn, because they say that selling a bargain is the same (in terms of profit).  Like (taking) usury, although God has made usury lawful and usury forbidden.  So the person to whom the advice of God reaches and he refrains (from taking usury), then what happened before is his.  And (on the Day of Resurrection) his matter is entrusted to God, and whoever takes it again, such are the people of Hell who will (burn) in Hell forever.
  276. God destroys usury and increases charity, and God does not befriend an ungrateful sinner.
  277. (277) Those who believe and do good deeds and pray and give alms will receive their reward from God, and (on the Day of Resurrection) they will not fear anything, nor will they be sad.
  278. Believers!  Fear God, and if you believe, then give up whatever interest remains.
  279. If you do not do this, then be warned (that you are) (getting ready) to fight God and the Messenger.  The loss of others and your loss
  280. And if the borrower is in need, give (him) respite until the repayment (is obtained), and if (the debt) be forgiven, then it is better for you, provided you understand.
  281. And fear the Day when you will return to the presence of God and everyone will be fully repaid for their deeds.  And no one will be harmed.
  282. Believers!  When you enter into a matter of debt for a certain period, write it down, and the writer among you (does not harm anyone, but) writes justly, and the writer does not refuse to write as God has taught him.  Do and write the document.  And whoever takes a loan, let him write the article (of the document) in writing, and fear God who owns it, and do not write anything less than the amount of the loan.  And if the borrower is unwise or weak or does not have the ability to write the essay, then whoever is his guardian should write the essay with justice.  And make two of your men witnesses (of such a matter).  And if there are not two men, then one man and two women whom you like as witnesses (are sufficient) that if one of them forgets, the other will remind him.  And when the witnesses are called (to testify), do not refuse. And do not be lazy in writing the (document) of the debt, whether it is small or large.  You will not have any doubt about it. Yes, if you allow the transaction to take place, there is no sin on you if you do not write the document (of such a matter).  Whatever you do, do it as a witness and do not harm the scribes and witnesses in any way, then it is a sin for you and (see that)  He teaches you (what useful things) and God is Aware of everything.
  283. And if you cannot find a person who writes the document on the journey, then (take a loan) by pledging or possessing (something) and if someone considers someone as a trust (i.e. lends without a pledge), then the trustee should  Pay the trust of trust and fear God who is his Lord. And do not hide (seeing) the testimony.  Whoever hides it will be a sinner at heart.  And God is Aware of all your deeds.
  284. Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth belongs to God.  Whether you reveal what is in your hearts or hide it, God will take account of it from you, then He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills.  And God has power over all things
  285. The Messenger (God) has faith in this Book revealed to him by his Lord, and so do the believers.  All believe in God and in His angels and in His Books and in His Messengers (and say) We make no distinction between any of His Messengers and they say (to God) that We (  Your command) heard and accepted.  O Lord, we seek Your forgiveness and to You we must return.
  286. God does not make a person suffer more than he can bear.  If he does good deeds, he will benefit from them, if he does bad deeds, he will suffer from them.  O Lord, do not blame us if we have forgotten or forgotten.  O Lord, do not burden us like you burdened the people before us.  O Lord, do not put on our head such a burden as we do not have the strength to carry.  And (O Lord) forgive us our sins and forgive us.  And have mercy on us.  You are our Lord and make us victorious over the disbelievers.
